Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of OrigamiPay. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

Last updated: 29 June 2026

1. The service

OrigamiPay is a tool that helps South African businesses generate payslips and calculate statutory amounts such as PAYE, UIF and SDL, and prepare EMP201 totals. It is software, not accounting, tax or legal advice.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login details secure, and for all activity under your account. You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Free trial and billing

New accounts include a 30-day free trial, with no credit card required to start. After the trial, continued use costs R50 per month, billed through PayFast.

There is no setup fee and no fixed-term contract. You may cancel at any time from your billing settings; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Unless required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.

4. Your responsibility for compliance

OrigamiPay applies the tax tables and rules in force to the data you enter, and we work to keep them current. However, you remain responsible for the accuracy of the information you capture and for meeting your own obligations to SARS, the Department of Employment and Labour and any other authority.

You should review the payslips and figures OrigamiPay produces before relying on them, and seek professional advice where your situation is complex.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service: no unlawful use, no attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service, and no use of the service to process data you are not entitled to process.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep OrigamiPay available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, add or remove features over time to improve the service.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, OrigamiPay is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
